Hallo !

Do you manage to adjust your steering wheel (ffb) to have a feeling of the track?
I just tested a GT3 on the server and it's completely smooth, just the resistance of the steering wheel but no jolt of the track or any skid ...
The Lotus is the same (by the jolts) otherwise it's much too smooth, I have no return in case of understeer for example.
What are the ffb settings you have?

Had to change a lot for the Hockenheim Historic with the Lotus. These are my actual settings for my T500.

Thrustmastersettings:
50% Overall strength
55% Constant
0% Periodic
0% Spring
30% Damper

Ingame:

It may depend on the track very much. A modern track may have a very smooth surface. Furthermore, some tracks are laser scanned and some others are not.

I don´t remember my settings at the moment but I know I didn´t change much. Maybe from 50 to 55 or 60 here and there. Plus I mapped the general strength to a rotating button on my button box so I can adopt FFB strength on the fly.

Just in case you are talking of the Lotus 49C at Hockenheim Classic: No way, this track is very bumpy and yes, I feel every single bump in my wheel.

it's not just the bumps (yes I feel on the Lotus) but almost no feeling for the tires, the Lotus slips a lot and I feel very little in the steering wheel.
I just watched a video, there is in pc2 not a lot of laser track.

Haha, I thought it was surprisingly many places that were laserscanned. Quite some places I didn´t know about. So I meant it in a positive way.

Tested a little ... slightly better, but far from perfect ,
RFactor 2 is much better on this point.

There are not many tracks that I would ever have the chance to drive on. All others I don´t care much whether they have been laserscanned as I wouldn´t notice any difference as long as they are not completely off compared to most other sims or reality.

Es hat während der Entwicklung eine Zeit gegeben, da schwebten die Zuschauer auf der Nordschleife 2 m hoch in der Luft, weil die ehemals nicht gescannte Strecke mit den neuen Scan-Daten abgeglichen worden war. Es hat auch mal ein paar Posts mit Punktehaufen gegeben. Ich hab auf dem Ring noch keine 10.000 Runden gefahren, da würde mir z.B. ein Asphaltwechsel oder sowas nicht auffallen, aber zumindest in den Fahrbahnhöhen gab es teilweise deutliche Abweichungen.

Eine sehr gute Möglichkeit die Strecke gut kennen zu lernen

Streckenkenntnis ist wichtig, man beachte den Biker mit dem Einkaufskorb beim Anfahren der Aremberg 4:57
